Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
CampaignAI is operated by Campaign AI Inc., a Canadian company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and other applicable provincial laws. It covers this website, the CampaignAI app, and the texts and emails sent through CampaignAI.
2. Person in charge of privacy
Our Privacy Officer is the person in charge of the protection of personal information at Campaign AI Inc. You can reach them at privacy@campaignai.ca for any question, request or complaint about your personal information.
3. What we collect
People who use CampaignAI (our customers)
- Account details: name, email address, language, business name, city, province, phone number and mailing address (the mailing address is required by Canada’s anti-spam law in commercial emails).
- Sign-in: when you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name and email address from that provider — never your password.
- Payments: our payment processor handles your card; we receive only payment confirmations, never your card number.
- What you create and upload: descriptions, images, videos, audio, scripts and captions.
- Connected accounts: access granted by social media platforms so we can post when you ask us to.
- Usage: features used, credits spent, and technical logs (IP address, browser, device, errors).
People who respond to our customers (their contacts)
- What they give the business: name, email address, phone number and message — for example on a sign-up page or by text.
- Consent records: for each channel (email, text, call), whether consent was given, how, when, and the evidence (such as the form or the message).
- Messages exchanged with the business, and delivery and unsubscribe records (including STOP replies).
Visitors to this website
This website has no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.
4. Why we use it
- To provide CampaignAI: create, store and publish your content, and deliver your texts and emails.
- To keep consent records, honour unsubscribe and STOP requests at once, and block messages without consent.
- To manage your account, credits and payments, and send service messages (receipts, security alerts).
- To answer your questions and support requests.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax records.
- To understand overall use of the service, using combined statistics that do not identify anyone.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your content or your contacts’ information to train AI models. We only send you marketing emails if you agreed to them.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits; we will tell you what that changes. Unsubscribe links and STOP replies work immediately.
5. Our customers’ contacts
When a business uses CampaignAI to collect and contact people, that business decides why and how their information is used and is responsible for having their consent. We handle that information on the business’s behalf, only to provide the service, and we never use it for our own marketing. If you are a contact of a business, you can ask that business — or us, and we will pass it on — to see, correct or delete your information. How texts work is explained in our SMS Terms.
6. Text messages (SMS)
When a business texts you through CampaignAI, or you text its CampaignAI number, we handle:
- your mobile number;
- your consent record: the exact wording you agreed to (shown on our SMS opt-in page), the page and version it was on, the language, the date and time, a hashed form of your IP address and your browser — or, if you texted first, your message and when it arrived;
- the texts exchanged, their delivery status, and your STOP, HELP and START replies.
We use this only to deliver the business’s texts, to honour STOP at once and to keep the records Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation requires. Mobile numbers and text consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. To deliver a text, the number and the message pass through the mobile carriers and the messaging provider that carry it. Opt-out records are kept as long as needed to keep honouring them; everything else follows section 9. Your rights in section 11 apply; you can also ask the business that texted you.
7. AI processing and automated suggestions
- To create images, videos, voice-overs and text, the descriptions, scripts, images and audio you provide are processed by AI service providers. Some of them are located in the United States. They do not receive your contacts’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or messages.
- To help you decide whom to answer first, CampaignAI can suggest a score for a new contact, with the reason shown. Their message — and at most their first name — may be processed by an AI service for this, never their email address or phone number. The score is only a suggestion: no decision about a person is made by a machine alone, and you can ask us how a suggestion was produced.
8. Where your information is kept
Our databases, files and backups are stored in data centres in Canada (Canada Central, with backups in Canada East). Some service providers — AI content services, payment processing and sign-in — may process information outside Quebec and outside Canada, mainly in the United States. Before information leaves Quebec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected, and we bind our providers by contract to protect it and use it only for the service.
9. How long we keep it
- Content you ask us to delete: removed for good within 30 days.
- Your account: when you ask us to close it, removed within 90 days, together with its content and contacts.
- Payment records and the credit history: kept 7 years (tax law).
- Technical logs: kept 90 days.
- Opt-out records (unsubscribe and STOP): kept as long as needed to keep honouring them.
- Contacts: kept while the business’s account is open, until the business deletes them.
To delete content or close your account, write to privacy@campaignai.ca.
10. Security and incidents
- Information is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest.
- Each business’s data is kept separate, and staff access is limited to what their job needs.
- We log and monitor access to detect misuse.
- We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident creates a risk of serious injury, we notify the people affected, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and, for Quebec residents, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, as soon as possible.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the personal information we hold about you, and how it is used and shared;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, or stop sharing or indexing it where the law allows;
- give you your information in a structured, commonly used format, or send it to someone you name;
- withdraw your consent;
- explain an automated suggestion that concerns you.
Email privacy@campaignai.ca. We answer within 30 days, free of charge, and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
12. Cookies and tracking
This website uses no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. The CampaignAI app uses only what it needs to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If we ever add optional analytics, they will stay off until you turn them on.
13. Children
CampaignAI is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you think a child has given us information, write to privacy@campaignai.ca and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We will post any change here with a new date. For important changes we will also tell account holders by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply.
